The North Saskatchewan River has been a significant place for the niisitapi (Blackfoot), d毛nes懦艂in毛虂 (Dene), nakoda isga (Nakoda Sioux), nehiyawak (Cree), nahkawininiwak (Saulteaux), and otipemisiwak (M茅tis) since time immemorial.
