Hello Everyone

With all the hustle and bustle of responding to COVID-19 and the effects the social distancing is having to the Â鶹ԭ´´ campus, we are seeing an increase in phishing emails asking users to update VPN settings otherwise their home connection will be interrupted or they will lose access to their account. These often direct users to a webpage intended to steal your login credentials.

Â鶹ԭ´´ traditionally does not make use of VPN Services for home connections; however with the COVID-19 outbreak and increased accommodation Â鶹ԭ´´ is providing to make working from home easier it is possible there is the possibility to confuse a phishing attempt for legitimate communication from Â鶹ԭ´´ ITS.

Please be vigilant with any email you may receive. If  is looks suspicious please forward it to helpdesk@concordia.ab.ca and do not click the link unless we respond that it is safe. IT Services will send communication to the Â鶹ԭ´´ community using the Inside Â鶹ԭ´´ webpage, and if action is required on your part, it will be not be communicated to you in an anonymous manner.

If you have any questions please send us an email at helpdesk@concordia.ab.ca or call use at 780-479-9316
